On Friday employees from West Midlands company Goodyear Dunlop joined the country in showing their support of Red Nose Day. Across the tyre company's Birmingham and Wolverhampton sites employees wore red to publicly show their support of Comic Relief as they raised much needed funds for the charity.
A range of activity took place including a dress down day, cake sales, competitions and raffles. On the day even company visitors donned red outfits to continue the theme including a group of visitors from business forum Vistage.
Vistage consists of a group of specially selected Chief Executives who share experience, best practice and knowledge in order to develop their own and members businesses.
The company hosted Vistage members, showcasing best practice from the organisation including a focus on the company's successful Dunlop Motorsport operations. Delegates took an exclusive tour of Dunlop's Motorsport Birmingham factory seeing first hand the manufacturing process and business methods used to produce its championship winning car and motorbike tyres for series such as British Touring Car Championship, Le Mans and Motor GP.
Mark Brickhill, Group Managing Director said: "Goodyear Dunlop is very proud of its business operations across the company and I am thrilled to be sharing our best practise with the Vistage members. Dunlop really is at the cutting edge of technology and this coupled with the businesses winning attitude helps to drive the company to success.
"I hope that following this visit they will be able to implement elements of our processes to further their own companies whether they are active in manufacturing or not."
