Goodyear OPTITRAC DT818 and DT830 - tire comfort "gut" to "sehr gut" ("good to very good")

DLG's conclusion is that both DT818 and DT830 driving comfort at speeds up to 50 km/h on smooth road is as good as when driving a passenger car.

Regular production OPTITRAC DT818 in 540/65R30 and 650/65R38 were fitted to a John Deere 6920 tractor and OPTITRAC DT830 in 710/65R30 and 800/70R30 were fitted to a Fendt 9030 VarioTMS. Both tractor and tire combinations were submitted to road comfort tests on smooth public roads with and without tractor attachments and the accelerations levels were measured in 3 directions through sensors located near the seat mounting points. John Deere 6920 attachment used was a Lemken seeder and the Fendt 9030 was equipped with a Lemken compactor making the test very realistic and more difficult to pass.

Goodyear OPTITRAC and John Deere and Fendt combinations were then compared against reference tractors equipped with 600/65R34, an industrial machine fitted with 14.5-20 MPT and a passenger car with 195/65R15 tires.

With both John Deere and Fendt, Goodyear OPTITRAC's driving comfort was rated "good' to "very good".
