Goodyear co-founder and sales manager Frank Seiberling offers young Henry Ford tires for his new race car to help Ford get started in racing. Goodyear tires appear in first race.
1903
P.W. Litchfield earns patent on first tubeless automobile tire.
1908
Goodyear introduces its first All-Weather Tread non-skid tire, featuring a diamond tread design.
1909
First pneumatic rubber airplane tire is developed to replace sled runners and bicycle tires.
