Goodyear is leading the way in runflat technology
Geneva, Switzerland, March 1, 2005 – Goodyear has not only pioneered the runflat technology but
has also supplied more runflat tires than any other tire manufacturer. Today The Goodyear Tire and
Rubber Company is the largest supplier of tires featuring runflat technology in Europe, with 55%
market share and more than 1.3 million tires sold in 2004.
Goodyear manufactures one out of every two original runflat tires
Today The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is the market leader in tire safety technology, responsible for equipping more than every second car that is originally fitted with runflat tires. Major car brands are now equipped with Goodyear's innovative tire safety technology, RunOnFlat, standard or as an option, including: • BMW – 1, 3, 5 and 6 series
• BMW – X5, Z4 and Z8
• Chevrolet Corvette
• Ferrari F131
• Land Rover Range Rover
• Maserati Quattroporte
• Mercedes-Benz A-class, C-class, E-class and CLS

• Rolls Royce Phantom More than 40 different tire sizes are available, most of them in the high performance and ultra high performance segments in most product lines. Goodyear tires equipped with RunOnFlat technology will be tires like the award winning Eagle F1 GS-D3, Eagle NCT5 and Excellence. Goodyear sold more than 1,3 million runflat tires in 2004, and expects to sell over 2 million in 2005.
